(Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.58) Order 202
(Olympic Boulevard, Myland) (Bus Gate) Order 202**
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53, and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order:
1. To Implement: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions.
Road: Olympic Boulevard, Myland
North Side
(i) From a point approximately 12.5 metres west of its junction with Flame Way and Spirit Drive, west for approximately 35 metres.
(ii) From a point approximately 4 metres west of its junction with Endeavour Way, west for approximately 45.5 metres.
South Side
(i) From a point approximately 12.5 metres west of its junction with Flame Way and Spirit Drive, west for approximately 32 metres.
(ii) From a point approximately 12.5 metres east of its junction with Spirit Drive, east for approximately 95 metres.
This Order will be incorporated into ‘The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019’ by substituting the relevant tile references as follows: TL995 282 revision 1 to revision 2, and TL995 285 Revision 0 to Revision 1.
2. To Implement: a ‘Bus Gate’ Restriction allowing buses, motorcycles, pedal cycles, and taxis only.
Road: Olympic Boulevard, Myland
Description: From its junction with Mill Road roundabout, Northwest for approximately 51.5 metres.

Notice is hereby given that further to a notice on the 19 December 2024, the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order:
1. To Implement: ‘No Stopping – Red Route Mon-Fri 8:15am-9:15am and 2:45pm-3:45pm.** (Previously advertised as 8:30am-9:30am and 2:30pm-3:30pm)
Road: Broom Grove
Description: BOTH SIDES: From a point approximately 21 metres north of its junction with Chaney Road, north, north for approximately 170 metres.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by substituting map tile: TM035 227, Revision 0 to Revision 1.

3. To Revoke: ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ Restrictions and Implement: ‘No Stopping at Any Time – Red Route’ Restrictions.

Description: BOTH SIDES: From its junction with Rectory Hill and Alresford Road, south for approximately 11 metres.
Road: Rectory Hill, Wivenhoe
Description: SOUTH SIDE: From its junction with Bowes Road west for approximately 12 metres.

EAST SIDE: From a point approximately 11 metres south of its junction with Rectory Hill and Alresford Road, south for approximately 7 metres.
SOUTHEAST SIDE: From a point approximately 56 metres south of its junction with Rectory Hill and Alresford Road, southwest for approximately 23 metres.
SOUTH SIDE: From a point approximately 9 metres southwest of the southern kerb line of Milford Close, northeast and east for approximately 79 metres.
WEST SIDE:
(i) From a point approximately 11 metres south of its junction with Rectory Hill and Alresford Road, south for approximately 63 metres.

Road: Milford Close, Wivenhoe
BOTH SIDES: From its junction with Bowes Road, northwest for approximately 9 metres.
This Order will be incorporated into ‘The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019’ by substituting Map Tile: TM045 220 Revision 0 to Revision 1.
Under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), Essex County Council proposes to establish a Zebra Crossing on Bowes Road, in the City of Colchester located as follows:
5. To Implement: a ‘Zebra Crossing’.
The Centre Line of the crossing is located approximately 54 metres east of the junction with Amberley Close.
The width between give way lines is approximately 5.8 metres.
Zigzags for the above Zebra Crossing will be installed on Bowes Road approximately 18 metres either side of the zebra crossing, for the width of the road.

(Grove Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Grove Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester from its junction with Heycroft Way for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2025 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (AD03059597275/2 – Anglian Water), which ever is the earlier. The closure is required for the works to safely access and carry out utility works.
The Order allows the closure to be in place for 18 months if required. It is anticipated however that the works will be completed during the above period.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while essential works to repair a manhole cover are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Grove Road, Newbridge Road, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Harwich Road, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harwich Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with The Street to its junction with Little Bromley Road a distance of approximately 410m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 6 nights (19:00–05:00) or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377185 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via A137, A14, A12, A1232, A133, A137, Slough Lane, Station Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Museum Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Museum Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Castle Bailey a distance of approximately 55m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (NK103DIS167004 – Virgin Media). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while blockage clearance works are undertaken by Virgin Media.
An alternative route is available via High Street, Queen Street, East Hill, East Street, Ipswich Road, Ipswich Road Roundabout.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Plough Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Hall View Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110134966 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cover replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Plough Road, Coles Brook Road, South Heath Road, Dead Lane, Holly Bush Hill, Clacton Road, Station Road, Great Bentley Road, Thornington Road, Plough Road, and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Rebow Road, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rebow Road, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester, from its junction with High Street to its junction with The Avenue for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30089349112 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while electrical service upgrade works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Park Road, Belle Vue Road, The Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sheepen Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sheepen Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Middleborough Roundabout to its junction with Cymbeline Way a distance of approximately 725m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 6 nights (19:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2380852 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Sheepen Road, Balkerne Hill, Cowdray Avenue, Colne Bank Avenue Roundabout, Westway, Rotary Way, Middleborough Roundabout, Middleborough, Balkerne Hill, Road Roundabout, Southway, Lexden Road, London Road, Cymbeline Way, Spring Lane Roundabout, Glen Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Stratford Road, Dedham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stratford Road, Dedham in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 450m north west of its junction with Ardleigh Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110270881 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while service pipe replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Stratford Road, Lower Street, Upper Street, Church Road, Dedham, Mill Lane, Stratford Road, High Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Street, Wakes Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street, Wakes Colne in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Colchester Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2354055 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via The Street, Chapel Hill, Swan Street, Chappel Road, Brook Road, Great Tey Road, Coggeshall Road, Station Road, North Lane, Brook Road, New Road, Ford Street, Halstead Road, Colchester Road, The Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
