(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 380m north of the junction with America Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30009017763 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Church Hill, High Street, Halstead Road, Stonebridge Hill, Parley Beams, Colchester Road, Stanstead Hall Road, Head Street, High Street, Bridge Street, Trinity Street, Mount Hill, Braintree Road, Bournebridge Hill, Pennypot Corner, Halstead Road, High Garrett, Broad Road Roundabout, Braintree Bypass – A131, Marks Roundabout, A120 J A131/B1256 Roundabout, Coggeshall Road, A120 and vice versa (with access only into Colne Road and Coggeshall Road).
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Colchester Road, Halstead Urban)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Halstead Urban in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 20m north west of its junction with Middlefield for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 2 nights (19:00–05:00) or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165051255/2 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via A1124, A12, A120, A131, A1124 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Parsonage Street, Halstead Urban)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parsonage Street, Halstead Urban in the Braintree District, from its junction with Factory Lane East to its junction with Factory Lane West a distance approximately 110m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th July 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037SM64730589 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lining works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via A1124, A131, White Horse Avenue, Tidings Hill, Kings Road and vice versa (with access only into Parsonage Street and Mallows Field).
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Green, Wickham St. Paul in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Old Road to its junction with Rectory Lane a distance of approximately 170m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2383143 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Old Road, Sudbury Road, Sudbury Road – Bulmer Tye – A131, Bulmer Tye, Hedingham Road, Broad Road, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 10th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Tilbury Road, Great Yeldham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tilbury Road, Great Yeldham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 205m north east of the junction with Duncan Rise for a distance of approximately 255m in a north easterly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2025 for 1 day or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PLT248762692303202 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Tilbury Road, North Road, Bridge Street, A1017, Ashen Road, Ridgewell Road, The Street, Foxes Road, Pannells Ash, Hollow Road, Ashen Road, Bradley Hill, Clare Road, Tilbury Road, Clare Road, Ovington Road, Belchamp Road, Tilbury Hill, Tilbury Road and vice versa.

(Birdbrook Road, Birdbrook/Birdbrook Road, Cornish Hall End Road & Chapel End Way, Stambourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Birdbrook Road, Birdbrook/Stambourne in the District of Braintree, from the junction with Chapel End Way for a distance of approximately 190m in a north westerly, north easterly then north westerly direction.
To temporarily close that length of Cornish Hall End Road, Stambourne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Birdbrook Road for a distance of approximately 125m in a south westerly direction.
To temporarily close that length of Chapel End Way, Stambourne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Birdbrook Road for a distance of approximately 80m in a north easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 14th July 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WG5TR19MSB/BC008WG5TR19M01SB/BC008WG5TR19M02SB/BC008WG5TR19M03SB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while underground cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

The Order came into effect on 26th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Box Mill Lane, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Box Mill Lane, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 55m south west of its junction with Hedingham Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th July 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03166005616 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stoptap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gestingthorpe Road, Great Maplestead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 75m north east of its junction with Monks Lodge Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th July 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30019198332 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Gestingthorpe Road, Monks Lodge Road, Great Maplestead Road, Sudbury Road, Hedingham Road and vice versa.

(Halstead Road/Station Road, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
To temporarily close that length of Halstead Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 130m north west of the junction with Massingham Drive for a distance of approximately 85m in a north westerly direction.
To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Halstead Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 14th July 2025 for 5 nights (20:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231013224 – Kingsheath Construction Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while surfacing works are undertaken by Kingsheath Construction Ltd.
An alternative route is available via B1024, A120, A131, Colne Road, Brook Street, Halstead Road, Brook Street and vice versa (with access only into Station Road, Church Hill, High Street, Halstead Road, Stonebridge Hill, Parley Beams and Colchester Road).
The Order came into effect on 26th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
