Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Stop Street (Part), Fonthill Gifford; from its property known as Bramleys to its property known as Owls Roost to enable Wessex Water to carry out remedial defect and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 31 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 11:30 for 1 day. B) C310 (Part), Donhead St Mary, Sedgehill and Semely; from its junction with C311 to its junction with UC 872501 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun and associated works. Alternative route via C310 (unaffected length) – C62 – C311 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 for 5 days. C) UC 922701 (Part), Tisbury; from its junction with C61 to its property known as Highwood Lodge to enable BT to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via UC 922701 (unaffected length) – C61 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. D) Burford Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A338 for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction.

E) Rowbarrow (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with A338 to its junction with The Crescent to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route D via Burford Road (unaffected length) – Milton Road – A338 and vice versa. Alternative route E via Rowbarrow (unaffected length) – Odstock Road – A345 – A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and the closures will be required until 29 August 2025. F) B3083 (Part), Shrewton and Winterbourne Stoke; from its junction with A360 to its junction with A303 to enable Going Group Ltd to carry out new fuel connection and associated works. Alternative route via A303 – A360 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 until 01 August 2025. G) Kingsway (Part), Wilton; from its junction with Fugglestone Red for a distance of approximately 135m to a point outside the public Network Rail Maintenance Yard to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out street works. Alternative route via Kingsway (unaffected length) – The Avenue – A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 31 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. H) C12 (Part), Berwick St John and Donhead St Andrew; from its junction with Luke Street to its junction with C312 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun and associated works. Alternative route via C12 (unaffected length) – A30 – C315 – C12 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 for 5 days. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council.

I) C293 (Part), Newton Tony; from its junction with Amesbury Road to its junction with Newton Tony to enable Wessex Water to carry out a complete a full relining of the sewers in order to reduce infiltration and sewerage overflows. Alternative route via Newton Tony – Station Road – Newton Toney Road – Wyndham Lane – Tidworth Road – Amesbury Road and vice versa. J) Deans Lane (Part), Idmiston; from its junction with A338 for a distance of approximately 200m in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out bridge repair and associated works. Alternative route via Deans Lane (unaffected length) – Manor Road – Gomeldon Road – A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 01 August 2025. Orders A) to J) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
