What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(STOTFOLD ROAD, ARLESEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Stotfold Road, Arlesey at the entrance of the new development.

This temporary closure is required to enable Section 278 resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 30 July 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A507, Arlesey Relief Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 27 July 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(NEW ROAD, SANDY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of New Road, Sandy from Tesco to Great North Road, Sandy.

This temporary closure is required to enable signing and lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 to 25 July 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A1, Bedford Road and High Street

The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HIGH STREET, WRESTLINGWORTH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Wrestlingworth from the junction with Potton Road to the junction with Eyeworth Road and Tadlow Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable civils resurfacing works with paco and road marking works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 21 July 2025 to 1 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Eyeworth Road, High Street, Cambridge Road, High Street, Biggleswade Road, Sutton Lane, Sutton Road, B1042 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HIGH STREET, BIGGLESWADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street, Biggleswade 50 metres either side of Station Road junction.

This temporary closure is required to enable manhole cover renewal works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 8 July 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A6001, Sun Street, Potton Road, B1040, A6001 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 7 July 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(WINDSOR TERRACE, BIGGLESWADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Windsor Terrace, Biggleswade near number 4.

This temporary closure is required to enable pram crossing installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 11 July 2025 between the hours of 8am and 4pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure. The Order will come into operation on 7 July 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(BIGGLESWADE: PART OF FOOTPATH NO 24)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on the 1st July 2025, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Footpath No 24, Biggleswade which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 2148 4415 to OS GR TL 2170 4414 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 5th July 2026.

This temporary closure is required to enable construction works to take place. The closure will continue from 6 July 2025 until 5 July 2026.

The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation will be:

From Ordnance Survey Grid reference OS GR TL 2170 4414 head in a southerly direction to OS GR TL 2174 4397, then head westerly to OS GR TL 2150 4395, then head in a northerly direction back to OS GR TL 2148 4415.

If the works are not completed within twelve months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
