SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL     
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S –     
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING     
       
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted
horse riders unless stated below.  The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.        
        
The Order/s came into force on 7 th July 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier.  However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Black Park Road,
Whitchurch​​​​​​​
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - New Water Connection
Alternative Route : Ossmere Lane, Mile Bank Road, Alport Road, Brownlow Street, Talbot
Street, Black Park Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Lane, Highley
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent water-remedial works
Alternative Route : Church Lane, High Street, Silverdale Terrace, Church Street

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using High Street, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 13th July 2025 between 10:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, remedial works required to defective
reinstatement
Alternative Route : Beeches Lane, Town Walls, Murivance, St Chads Terrace, Claremont
Bank, Lower Claremont Bank

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Linney, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 8th July 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Cadent - New Gas Service
Alternative Route : Coronation Avenue, Corve Street, New Road, Henley Road, A49,
Sheet Road, Weeping Cross Lane. Temeside, Whitcliffe Road, Middle Wood Road, Dinham


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Rectory Road, Albrighton
Date & Duration: 8th July 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Replace pole
Alternative Route : A41, Kingswood Road, High Street

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5065, Soulton road, Wem
Date & Duration: 12th July 2025 between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Defect to damaged area.
Alternative Route : A49, A41, B5476, B5065

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Shrewsbury Road,
Oswestry​​​​​​​
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 26 days
Purpose: Road Closure to enable drainage works in connection with the Oswestry
Innovation Park
Alternative Route : A5, B5009, B4579, Shrewsbury Road or A483, Maesbury Road and
Maes-Y-Clawdd

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Boreton
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 12 days
Purpose: Road Closure to enable footbridge replacement to the side of the
carriageway
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East continuing East, Unnamed road South

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4380, Emstrey to B5061
junction
Date & Duration: 10th July 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Carriageway repairs

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Chatford
Lane to Stapleton
Date & Duration: 8th July 2025 for 4 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs

Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 5 days between 07:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme

Date & Duration: 11th July 2025 for 14 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Stanley Lane, Bridgnorth
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 2 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Removal of trees

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road
Treverward, Rockhill
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 5 days between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure to enable carriageway repairs

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Twmpath Lane, Gobowen
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Laying duct

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between
Cleobury Mortimer and Nineveh
Date & Duration: 10th July 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach - Pole testing

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between
Picklescott and Betchcott, Picklescott
Date & Duration: 9th July 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, new water connection.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road
South towards Picklescott

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road from
Bagley to Weston Lullingfields​​​​​​​
Date & Duration: 11th July 2025 between 08:00 to 18:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Rework Carriageway patch and verge area.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North West through Lower Hordley towards Hordley,
Unnamed road South West through Rednal, A5, B4397, Unnamed road North through
Weston Lullingfields

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road, Hengoed
Date & Duration: 8th July 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Erecting new 11k poles
Alternative Route : Unnamed road West, Unnamed road North towards Upper Hengoed,
Unnamed road East




Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road, Longford
Date & Duration: 8th July 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Install 32mm new water connection.
Alternative Route : Shrewsbury Road, A53, A41, Unnamed road North East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using New Park Road, Castle Foregate, Castle Street, Howard Street, Cross Street, Smithfield Road and Chester Street, Shrewsbury. During the works there will be a parking restriction on Howard Street, The no right turn will be rescinded on Castle Street and the Environmental weight restriction on The Mount will be rescinded to allow access.
Date & Duration: 7th July 2025 for 40 nights between 20:00 to 06:00 as directed by signage on site, closures will be phased
Purpose: Road Closures to allow carriageway planning, resurfacing and lining.
Signs on site
will show which roads are closed and a diversion route will be implemented for each individual
closure. Access will be maintained and managed on site.
