Twyford Avenue - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Twyford Avenue) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.103) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 7th July 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
TWYFORD AVENUE (SOUTHBOUND)
From its junction with Twyford Avenue Roundabout to opposite Strode Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 20:00 on Monday 7th July 2025 to 06:00 on Tuesday 8th July 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Twyford Avenue Roundabout, Northern Parade, London Road, Portsbridge Roundabout, London Road, Copnor Road, Old London Road, London Road, Kingston Crescent, Rudmore Roundabout, Twyford Avenue.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
