What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(BILSTON STREET)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, restricting vehicles from proceeding along the right hand turn from Bilston Street onto Pipers Row.

The vehicle diversion route is: St Georges Parade, Garrick Street and Bilston Street.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, it is anticipated the proposed temporary suspension will be in place from 18 July 2025 until 20 July 2025 (approximately).

The Order is required to facilitate amendments to the permanent traffic signals by Midland Metro.
