Order 2025

The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of road. A 352 metre length of Seaside Lane that extends west from its junction with Station Road and a 385 metre length extending between Memorial Avenue and Easington Street, Easington Colliery to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the eastern side of the closure, from Station Road south through Grants Houses to A1086 then westerly to Little Thorpe Roundabout and north on B1432 Thorpe Road to the western side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 7am on Monday 21/7/2025 and are anticipated to be completed in 10 days, to 7pm per day. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
