Cumberland, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2036 DEAN, U2092 TALLENTIRE AND U2442 FINDLAY PLACE, WORKINGTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

  1. C2036 Dean, from its junction with the U2333, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 340m.

    Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2036, U2333 Shawbank Brow, C4006, A5086, C2030 Ullock to Branthwaite and C2031 Dean to Branthwaite.

    Duration: From 21 July 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1430 hours

  2. U2092 Tallentire, from its junction with the U2094, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 520m.

    Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2092, C2001 Gilcrux, C2003 Tallentire and U2093.

    Duration: From 7 August 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours

  3. U2442 Findlay Place, Workington from a point adjacent to No. 26 Findlay Place extending in a south easterly direction to a point adjacent to No. 8 Findlay Place.

    There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

    Duration: From 12 August 2025 for approx. 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
