Felpham: Public Footpath FEL/153/5 and Harting: Public Bridleway No. 880 - Temporary Closure

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath FEL/153/5 in Felpham from its junction with Wroxham Way southwards to its junction with Drygrounds Lane.
The closure of this route is needed to allow footway improvement works to be carried out in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 23 July 2025 and remain in force until 2 September 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order an alternative route will be signed on nearby roads. Any queries about the effect of the Order on traffic using the highway should be directed to the WSCC Contact Centre, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Temporary Closure) Order 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and which originally came into force on 9 January 2023, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, will now continue in force until 9 January 2027 or until the works are completed.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety the current bridge is unsafe and work is ongoing to design and arrange construction of a suitable replacement.
The effect of the Order remains unchanged and is to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Bridleway No. 880 from its western end at its junction with Eastfield Lane (SU804197), eastwards to its junction with Sheepwash Road (SU805196).
Unfortunately there is no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network. Any queries about the effect of the Order on persons using the Public Footpath should directed to Rights of Way Team, WSCC, telephone number 01243 777620.
