Angus, Carnoustie -Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting, to allow for safety during the Carnoustie Gala Day, and Parade.

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 30/06/2025 the Council made The Angus Council (Carnoustie Gala Day and Parade) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025 under section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 for the purposes of public safety and convenience.

The effect of the Order will be: (i) a ‘Rolling’ road closure under the control of Stewards on Victoria Street, Dundee Street, High Street, Church Street, Carlogie Road, Newton Road and Queen Street, Carnoustie on 05/07/2025, between 12.45pm and 2.00pm; and (ii) a prohibition of waiting on Victoria Street, Dundee Street, Newton Road and Queen Street, Carnoustie on 05/07/2025 between 6.00am and 6.00pm. Access for pedestrians will be maintained. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Monikie to Barry (C1), Dundee to Montrose (A92), Dundee to Muirdrum, (A930), The reverse route applies.
