THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL
(ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS)
(VARIATION NO 1) ORDER 2025   - TO/R5.3.142

Midlothian Council on 30 June 2025 Made the above Order, which will come into force on 14 July 2025. The effect is to make EV Charging Bays at Buccleuch Wynd in Dalkeith enforceable. Details may be examined until 11 August 2025 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk, at Libraries and from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of this Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 30 June 2025 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL
(A768 LASSWADE ROAD, ESKBANK, DALKEITH)
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025                - TTRO/R 5.4.281

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period, to facilitate the construction of a new footway and to provide a laydown area for materials for the A7 project, the A768 Lasswade Road will be closed to through traffic in both directions between the roundabout at the A7 to its junction with Captains Gardens, for a distance of 82m or thereby. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 14 July 2025. The work is expected take about 3 weeks to complete. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be clearly sign posted.

(A7 & A768 MELVILLE DYKES ROAD, LASSWADE)
(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025    - TTRO/T 5.4.282

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate safe movement of traffic in the vicinity of the A7 Urbanisation Project and to provide suitable safety zone for the work force. A 30MPH speed limit will be in place on:

The A7 from North Esk Bridge to Eskbank roundabout (at Tesco), for a distance of 1160 meters or thereby.

The A768 Melville Dykes Road, from its junction with Melville Golf Centre to the A7 Roundabout, for a distance of 170 meters or thereby.

The Order is expected to be in place for 13 weeks and has effect from 14 July 2025.
