Notice of Order Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

Notice is hereby given that the public inquiry on 5th August 2025 to determine WSCC (Petworth No.1: Loxwood (Addition of a Footpath)) definitive Map Modification Order 2023 has been cancelled.

Consideration of the Order will take the form of exchanges of statements of case and comments on statements of case.

The effect of the Order, if confirmed without modifications, will be to add a footpath commencing at footpath 795 (grid reference 505522, 131981) and proceeding in a north-westerly direction for 825M, then turning north for a distance of 476M, then turning west for a distance of 89 metres to footpath 797 (grid reference 504913, 132976) as shown by the broken black line on plan numbered 01826 and with a minimum width of 2.15M.
