THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. 
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

LAUNDE ROAD, MARKFIELD
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 26/07/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 days to allow Severn Trent Water & their contractors to undertake remedial works. The proposed diversion route will be via: A50 Leicester Rd, Bradgate Hill; Markfield Rd, Slip Rds from A46 Leicester Western Bypass to A50 R/bout, R/bout at the Jct of A46 Slip Rds, A50 Groby Rd, Markfield Rd & Leicester Rd; R/bout at the Jct of Sacheverell Wy & Leicester Rd, Sacheverell Wy, Groby Rd, Markfield Rd, Ratby Ln & vice versa.

This order may include third party works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Scraptoft Ln, Keyham Ln, Beeby, Hungarton Ln, Hungarton & vice versa.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH PEDESTRIANS & EQUESTRIANS ORDER 2024
EXTENSION NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by the Leicestershire County Council on 12/12/2024 and which came into effect on 06/01/2025 will be continued in force until 06/02/2028 or until the works have been completed. The effect of the Order is to continue to allow for the closure of that length of Bridleway as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. 
The Bridleway is being closed for public safety during ongoing major works on Severn Trent Water Sewage treatment facilities.
