What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 30 June 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Castle Street, Forfar) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that Water Authority works may be undertaken. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles in or on the west leg of Castle Street, Forfar from a point 20 metres or thereby north of its junction with The Cross in a northerly direction for a distance of 50 metres or thereby for a period of eight days. Access for pedestrians will be maintained. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via West High Street, Craig O’ Loch Road (A926), Queenswell Road (A926) and Castle Street. The reverse route does not apply. Full details of the Order are available at www.angus.gov. uk/trafficorders. The maximum duration in terms of the act is 18 months.
