What is happening?

(WHITEHOUSE LOAN AREA)
(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION)
ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/94
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period to facilitate footway renewal works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of; (i) Whitehouse Ln, from Strathearn Pl/ Strathearn Rd, southwards to Newbattle Ter/Whitehouse Ter; (ii) Hope Terrace, at Whitehouse Ln; & (iii) Blackford Rd, at Whitehouse Ln; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on any part of; (i) Whitehouse Ln, from Strathearn Pl/Strathearn Rd, southwards to Newbattle Ter/Whitehouse Ter; (ii) Newbattle Ter, both sides, from the extended west kerbline of Whitehouse Ln, westwards for 100m; (iii) Whitehouse Ter, north side only, from the extended west kerbline of Whitehouse Ln, eastwards for 100m; & (iv) Grange Ln, south side only, from the extended west kerbline of Whitehouse Ln, eastwards for 100m. Existing parking restrictions may be suspended on the affected sections of road described in (b). The alternative routes for vehicular traffic with respect to the closures are (i) Whitehouse Ln - Strathearn Rd, Kilgraston Rd & Grange Ln/Whitehouse Ter; (ii) Hope Ter - Hope Ter, Kilgraston Rd, Grange Ln/Whitehouse Ter & Whitehouse Ln; & (iii) Blackford Rd - Blackford Rd, Kilgraston Rd, Grange Ln/Whitehouse Ter & Whitehouse Ln.
The Order shall have effect from 07/07/25 to 26/09/25.
