Ebor Street & York Street - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic
What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Ebor Street
& York Street, Selby, Order 2025, No. 246 We intend to make this Order
to prohibit any vehicle from using Ebor Street & York Street, Selby for a
temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 21/07/25 &
01/08/25, due to Northern Gas Networks installation of multi-way lights on
Brook Street junction with Gowthorpe. However, the max duration of this
Order is until 01/09/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs &
a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. All

Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment
No Tbc, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire
Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2),
32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule
9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of
which will be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of
Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby) Consolidation
Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:-
Table - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking Hillam,
Main Street, North East side from a point from the drop kerb of Manor
House to 11m north west of the drop kerb - Waiting Prohibited at all Times.
Hillam, Chapel Street, North side from a point from the drop cross of High
Gables to 43m north west of the drop kerb - Waiting Prohibited at all Times.
A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected &
a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may
be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Sherburn & Villages
Community Library, Finkle Hill, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6EA during normal
office hours from 03/07/25 to 25/07/25 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the
proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing,
