What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
BESSINGBY WAY, BRIDLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Bessingby Way, Bridlington between McDonalds Access
Road and road between Bessingby Way and Boundary
Road commencing 21 July 2025 and 22 July 2025
between 19.00 hours and 06.00 hours to allow
carriageway maintenance works to be carried out safely.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by
23 July 2025 at 06.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via: N/A as no through road.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents,
affected businesses and pedestrians.
