Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 3 July 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(4) and 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES, MILTON KEYNES INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2025) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2195)
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles from entering, proceeding, or waiting along the following parts of roads.
18th July 2025 (Between 9:00pm and 10:30pm)
Avebury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes – From its junction with Lower Twelfth Street to its junction with Enmore Gate.
Marlborough Gate, Central Milton Keynes – From its junction with Midsummer Boulevard to its junction with Xscape.
Traffic will be diverted via Midsummer Boulevard and Secklow Gate
24th July 2025 – 26th July 2025 (Between 9:00pm and 11:30pm each night)
Midsummer Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes – from its junction with Secklow gate to its junction with Lower Ninth Street
Whilst the above closure is in place access will be maintained for Busses and Taxi’s Only
Lower Ninth Street, Central Milton Keynes – from its junction with Midsummer Boulevard to its junction with Avebury Boulevard
Whilst the above closure is in place access will be maintained for Busses and Taxi’s Only
Avebury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes – from its junction with Lower Ninth Street to its junction with Secklow Gate.
25th July 2025 – 26th July 2025
Lower Tenth Street, Central Milton Keynes (Between 6:00pm and 11:59pm each night)
From its junction with Avebury Boulevard to its junction with Midsummer Boulevard.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WALGRAVE DRIVE, BRADWELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2185)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following part of redway to allow Openreach to lay duct.
Walgrave Drive, Bradwell – From its junction with Grafton Street to its junction with Quinton Drive.
Whilst the above road is closed the alternative route will be via Walgrave Drive, Loughton Road, Rawlins Road and Grafton Street (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect between 14th July 2025 and 23rd July 2025 (Between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
There will be no exemptions from the provisions of the proposed Order except for emergency services vehicles and military vehicles being driven on operational duties.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (KEMBLE COURT, DOWNHEAD PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2188)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road. To allow National Grid to carry out new connection works.
Kemble Court, Downhead Park – Outside Number 47
The above closure will come into effect between 14th July 2025 – 18th July 2025 (Between 9:00am and 4:00pm each day).
Access will be maintained.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 1st July 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (A509 (PART), OLNEY) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2132)
The effect of the above Order traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along A509, Olney (from a point 75 metres south-west of its junction with Lime Street, Olney, continuing for a distance of 450 metres in a south-westerly direction) at a speed in excess of 30mph, whilst the Olney Riverfest Event takes place, because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
The temporary 30mph speed restriction will be in effect from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Sunday 6th July 2025 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 3rd July 2025:
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(1) and (2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following two Traffic Regulation Orders:
1) Milton Keynes City Council (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Central Milton Keynes) (On-Street Standard Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020) Variation Order 2025 (No.2)
2) Milton Keynes City Council (The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes) (Central Milton Keynes) (On-Street Premium Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020) Variation Order 2025 (No.2)
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be as follows:
Replace the existing standard tariff parking on parts of North Row, Central Milton Keynes, between North Tenth Street and Secklow Gate with premium tariff parking.
Replace the existing car share permit parking places on North Eighth Street, Central Milton Keynes with standard tariff parking.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:

Any representations or objections to the proposal, together with the grounds upon which they are made, must be made in writing and sent to the Council’s Traffic Regulation Order Team at Milton Keynes City Council, Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ, or by email to

quoting reference TRO-444 and to be received no later than 24th July 2025. Any representations received will be taken into consideration before the implementation of the scheme.
