NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A6070, CARNFORTH, LANCASTER CITY) (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLES) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 20 June 2025 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Introduce a prohibition of pedestrians in A6070, Carnforth, all sides, from its roundabout junction with the B6601 for a distance of 1,380 metres to its roundabout junction with the A6 Scotland Road, Warton.
2. Introduce a prohibition of cycles in A6070, Carnforth, all sides, from its roundabout junction with the B6601 for a distance of 1,380 metres to its roundabout junction with the A6 Scotland Road, Warton.

This Order will come into force on the 07 July 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Lancaster City Council, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
