TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A2 Trunk Road in the County of Kent, under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to restrict access to a maintenance hardstanding adjacent to a length of the Trunk Road which is otherwise a clearway.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit 24-hour public access to the maintenance hardstanding located in the area of verge enclosed by the northbound and southbound carriageways of the road known as Lydden Hill and connecting link.
This measure is in the interests of road safety.
The Order will come into force on 19th July 2025 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when replaced by a Permanent Traffic
Regulation Order.
The prohibition will be clearly indicated by an “Authorised Vehicles Only” sign.
