Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Kenn Moor Road and Moor Road, Yatton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 26 August 2025

Ref: T25-32

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway patching works and will become operative on 26 August 2025, anticipated to be of 2 working days.

The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Kenn Moor Road and Moor Road for entire extents.

Alternative routes – Nailsea Wall, Davis Lane, Kenn Road, North End Road and vice-versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Upton Lane, Dundry, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 1 August 2025

Ref: SW25.26-027

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace poles. This order will become operative on the 1 August 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 8am and 3pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Upton Lane from junction of Wells Road to outside properties Hollydene and Ridge Croft.

Upper Myrtle Hill, Pill, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 11 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-069

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to for fibre cable works. This order will become operative on the 11 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Upper Myrtle Hill junction of New Road heading southbound for approximately 25m.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Byway Open to all Traffic LA19/82 Greatstones Lane, Winford, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by all traffic including Pedestrians, Cyclist, Horses and Motorised Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 7 July 2025

Ref: LA19/82 Greatstones Lane

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of Byway.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council due to Surface of route eroding, affected by large fallen tree. This order will become operative on the 7 July 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months.

Schedule – No pedestrian, cyclist, horse rider or motorised vehicle shall proceed along Byway LA19/82 from its junction with Pinchay Lane, LA19/92 to its junction with Watery Lane approximately 443m in length.

Nailsea Wall, Kenn, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 16 July 2025

Ref: SW24.25-378

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for reinstatement of temporary junction. This order will become operative on the 16 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 38 days in duration.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Nailsea Wall from approximately 1.3km east of Kennmoor Road junction.

Weir Lane, Abbots Leigh, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 14 July 2025

Ref: SW25.26-007

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access underground fibre boxes. This order will become operative on the 14 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 night in duration between 7pm and 6am.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
