What is happening?

LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

SECTION 14(1)

(Rossall Grove, Harehills, Leeds) 

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because excavation works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s), Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Rossall Grove, Harehills, Leeds; between its junctions with Rossall Road and Karrnac Road. Diversionary routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Rossall Road, Luxor Road, Karrnac Road and vice versa; and also via Harehills Lane, Roundhay Road, Karrnac Road, and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 14th July 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 25th July 2025. The closure will be in place 24 hrs on each day. K Krawczyk. Ref: ECO2500146

(Back Nice View, Harehills, Leeds) 

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Karnac Road, Nice View and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 14th July 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 25th July 2025. The closure will be in place 24 hrs on each day. K Krawczyk.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 

(Millennium Square Summer Season Concerts) 

11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 & 31 July 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger arising to the public (holding of the Summer Series Concert events at Millennium Square) Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following traffic restrictions during the event dates and times listed in the Schedule below. No Person Shall Cause or Permit Any Vehicle to Proceed Along: a. Great George St; between Calverley St & Dudley Way; b. Cookridge St & Rossington St, between their junctions with Great George St & Woodhouse Lane; c. St Anne’s Stt; between its access to The Light Car Park and Cookridge St; d. The Laybys on Great George St (to the rear of the Town Hall) and in front of the Electric Press Building; except for production vehicles; e. Portland Way; between its junctions with Woodhouse La & Calverley St (Emergency evacuation only); f. Calverley St; between its junctions with Portland St & Portland Way (Emergency evacuation only). A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closures will be available via Calverley St; Portland Way and Woodhouse La. Schedule – Event Dates & Closure Times

The above closures are intended to come into effect as and when required between 16:00hrs & 23.30 hrs on 11, 12, 17, 18, 20, 25, 26 & 31 July 2025 respectively, and between 12:00 hrs and 23.30 hours on 19 July 2025; except for: 1. The closure at point b above which will be in effect between 14:00hrs and 23:30hrs on each event day; and 2. The closure of the laybys on Great George St at point d above), which will be between 06:00 and 23:00 hours on each event day. Mr N Gardiner

(Definitive Footpath Morley No.16) 

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due site development works on or near the under mentioned footpath, Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be that: No person shall proceed on foot along Definitive Footpath Morley No.16, in the Morley North Ward, from its junction with Wakefield Road for a distance of approximately 60 metres in a north-easterly direction. A Diversionary route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be available via a temporary path running through the development site, running in a north-easterly direction largely parallel to the closed section of footpath above. The Order is intended to come into operation on 10 July 2025 and to remain in force 24 hours per day, for a maximum period of 6 months. The closure will be in place for 24hrs on each day.
