What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Arlen Drive, Great Barr)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Arlen Drive, Great Barr which will be closed from its junction with Newton Road for approximately 50 metres (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). No diversion route will be signed as Arlen Drive, Great Barr is not a through road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 10/07/2025 effective from 07/07/2025 (24hrs). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Oldbury Road, Smethwick) (Cycle Lane Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit cycles from proceeding along Oldbury Road, Smethwick which will be closed from the northern boundary of Warley Superstore for approximately 20m (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). No diversion route will be signed for this closure. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 04/07/2025 effective from 04/07/2025 (09:00 - 15:00).
