ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BRIDGE STREET, CHURCH STREET, HIGH STREET AND MARKET PLACE, GARSTANG, WYRE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION, PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LIMITED WAITING PARKING PLACE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 20 June 2025 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Garstang, Wyre Borough) (Part Revocation, Prohibition of Waiting, Restriction of Waiting and Restriction of Loading/Unloading) Order 2011" insofar as it relates to:
a) Items e), f) and g) of Schedule 2;
b) Items h) and f) of Schedule 3;
c) Item b) of Schedule 6.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Bridge Street, Garstang, the north east side, from a point 40.5 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of Coach House Mews to a point 28 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of Park Hill Road;
b) Bridge Street, Garstang, the north east side, from a point 10 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of Coach House Mews for a distance of 31 metres in a south easterly direction;
c) High Street, Garstang, the west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Croston Road to its centreline junction with Market Place;
d) Market Place, Garstang, the northwest side, from its centreline junction with High Street to its centreline junction with Church Street;
e) Church Street, Garstang, the north west side, from its centreline junction with Market Place for a distance of 13 metres in a south westerly direction.
3. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 30 minutes with no return within 30 minutes Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm in Bridge Street, Garstang, the north east side, from a point 23 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of Coach House Mews for a distance of 17.5 metres in a south easterly direction.
This Order will come into force on the 04 July 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Wyre Borough Council, Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7PU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
quoting ref: LSG4/894. 17726/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
