What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
* Bus Lane on Bilston Road closed from opposite the junction of Culwick Street to the junction of Ettingshall Road. It is anticipated that the closure will operate between the hours of 00:01 and 05:00 on 2 July 2025 and 3 July 2025.
* Sutherland Avenue closed at its junction with Bilston Road. It is anticipated that the closure will operate between the hours of 00:01 and 05:00 on 3 July 2025 and 4 July 2025. Inbound Vehicular Diversion Route: Bilston Road, Ring Road, Middle Cross, Horseley Fields, Lower Horseley Fields, Willenhall Road and
Hickman Avenue. Outbound Vehicular Diversion Route: Bilston Road, Stowheath Lane, Culwick Street and Hickman Avenue.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on the dates stipulated above, between the times detailed.
The Order is required to facilitate the inspection and maintenance of overhead cables by Centro.
