Wiltshire, Temporary Road Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) UC 916901 (Part), Lacock; from its property known as Pen Y Brook for a distance of approximately 215m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing and pole replacement and associated works. Alternative route via UC 916901 (unaffected length) – Corsham Road – A350 – C159 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. B) C372 (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Silver Street to its junction with Polebarn Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out public realm improvements and associated works. Alternative route via C372 (unaffected length) – The Halve – Union Street – C372 (unaffected length). This Order will come into operation on 25 July 2025 at 07:30 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 25 November 2025. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

C) C155 (Part), Lacock; from a point approximately 300m north west of its junction with A350 for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out construction of a vehicle access and associated works. Alternative route via C155 (unaffected length) – B3353 – A365 – A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and the closure will be required until 11 July 2025. D) Netherstreet (Part), Bromham; from its property known as Brooklands 52 for a distance of approximately 400m in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out CCTV investigation work and other associated works. Alternative route via Netherstreet (unaffected length) – A342 – Yard Lane – Netherstreet (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 11 July 2025. E) Stormore (Part), Dilton Marsh; from its property known as No.5 Stormore for a distance of approximately 15m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out new foul connection works and other associated works. Alternative route via Stormore (unaffected length) – B3099 – Clearwood – Stormore (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00 for 5 days. F) Church Acre (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Huntingdon Road for a distance of approximately 85m in an easterly direction to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out new service supply and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 01 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 23:59 for 4 days. G) B3097 (Part), Heywood and North Bradley; from its roundabout junction with Link Road to its roundabout junction with C7 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via C7 – A350 – B3097 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 on weekdays only until 16 July 2025. H) Fiddington Hill (Part), Market Lavington; from its junction with Fiddington Clay for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out new foul connection works and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and the closure will be required until 03 July 2025. I) C391 (Part), Wilton; from its junction with The Avenue to its junction with C230 for a distance of approximately 135m in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out construction of a new vehicle access and associated works. Alternative route via C391 – C230 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 11 July 2025. The Orders will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to temporarily close to all vehicles:

A) A350 (Part), Westbury; from its junction with B3097 to its roundabout junction with The Mead.

And to temporarily introduce a 7.5T weight restriction on the following roads:

B) Bitham Park, Westbury; from its junction with A350 to its junction with B3098.

C) The Mead, Westbury; from its roundabout junction with A350 to its junction with Rosefield Way.

D) Rosefield Way, Westbury; from its junction with The Mead to its junction with B3097.

And to temporarily close to all users:

E) Footpath 8, Westbury; from its junction with West End to its junction with White Horse Way to enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out Gas Main replacement and associated works.

Alternative route A via A350 (unaffected length) – A363 – C227 – C234 – A361 – A36 – A350 and vice versa.

Alternative route B via White Horse Way – Field Close – West End and vice versa.

The closures, restrictions and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and the closures will be required 24 hours a day until 29 August 2025. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

The Orders for sections A) to D) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The Order for section E) will have a maximum duration of 06 months. For further information please contact Wales and West Utilities on 07977 591988.

SECTION 16(A) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

Bradford Road (Part), Atworth; from its junction with Coronation Street to its junction with Church Street to enable filming on location.

Alternative route via Bradford Road (unaffected length) – C212 – C239 – A365 and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 03 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 18:00 and 01:00 for 1 night. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the closure. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
