Portland Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Water Works
What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – PORTLAND ROAD, HOVE
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-
The temporary closure of Portland Road from its junction Reynolds Road to its junction at Titian Road
The Order is necessary to allow contractors working on behalf of Southern Water to carry out repair to a sewer in the carriageway.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic.
This Order comes into force on 21 July 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
