What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER ON BEAUMONT WALK, DERBY
WHEN: 18 June 2025 to 30 November 2025
WHERE: Beaumont walk, from its junction with Blackmore Street to its junction with Grange Avenue
REASON: Construction works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Blackmore Street – Coleridge Street – Grange Avenue (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON LONDON ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 14 July 2025 to 01 August 2025 (Daily: 09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: London Road, from its junctions with Haig Street to its junction with Wisgreaves Road
REASON: Resurfacing works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: London Road – Ascot Drive – Osmaston Road – Harvey Road – Shardlow Road – London Road and the same in the opposite direction
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON CANAL STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 28 July 2025 to 02 August 2025
WHERE: Canal Street, adjacent to its junction with Derwent Street, for a distance of approximately 40 metres
REASON: Electric works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derwent Street – Full Street – Cathedral Road – Canal Street (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON ALMOND STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 29 July 2025 to 31 July 2025
WHERE: Almond Street, from its junction with Porter Road
REASON: Resurfacing works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hamilton Road – St Chad’s Road – Cromwell Road – Lower Dale Road – Dale Road Clarence Road – Stanholme Street – Rawdon Street – Lower Dale Road Clarence Road – Livingston Road – Porter Road Porter Road – Overdale Road – St Chad’s Road – Hamilton Road
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON DERBY LANE, DERBY
WHEN: 25 July 2025
WHERE: Derby Lane, from Village Street to Kenilworth Avenue, for a distance of approximately 150m Derby Lane, from Kenilworth Avenue to Randolph Road, for a distance of approximately 60m
REASON: Carriageway works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Village Street – Kenilworth Avenue (and the same in the opposite direction) Randolph Road – Duncan Road – Kenilworth Avenue (and the same in the opposite direction)
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER ON BEAUMONT WALK, DERBY
