Cross Keys Street & Goulden Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Emergency Sewer Repairs

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC144124440: The City of Manchester (Cross Keys Street & Goulden Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Cross Keys Street Junction with Goulden Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Thompson Street, Mason Street, Marshall Street, Chadderton Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Emergency sewer repairs. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 15th July 2025 to 9th January 2026. The order shall come into operation on 15th July 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
