GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.

There will be no stopping, waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 1st July 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th September 2025.

The reason for the said closure is for utility maintenance works.

The reason for the said closure is for various works involving tree cutting and replacing a rotten telegraph pole.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A48 Main Road, Minsterworth/A48 from Denny Bridge to The Cottage, from its junction with Ley Lane to its junction with Church Lane, for a total distance of approximately 2.2 kilometres.

The reason for the said closure is for works to install Crossing Islands in the middle of the Carriageway.

The said road is expected to be closed and restricted between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs each night from 3rd July 2025 until 12th July 2025 only or until the said works have been completed whichever is the earlier. NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 of Part I and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing & revoking the proposed restrictions detailed in The Schedule below on various roads in the town of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire.
