Star Road, Nant-y-derry - Temporary restrictions for BT works

HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1. Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 2ail Gorffennaf 2025 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Rhagwelwyd  bod y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau ar 2ail Gorffennaf 2025, gan weithio rhwng 09:30 – 15:30.  

2. Roedd angen y Gorchymyn  er mwyn i BT wneud gwaith mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.   Cedwir mynediad rhesymol ar gyfer eiddo sydd ar hyd y ffyrdd a effeithir arnynt tra y bydd yr heol ar gau.  

3. Effaith y Gorchymyn oedd cau dros dro rhan o Heol y Seren, Nant-y-deri, Sir Fynwy, o’r gyffordd gyda Heol Pont y Gadwyn i'r gyffordd â Heol Pen-Y-Wern.  

4. Roedd llwybr dargyfeirio fel a ganlyn:- Heol Nant-y-deri, Heol yr Eglwys, Heol y Drenewydd, Heol y Seren y ac i'r gwrthwyneb.  

5. Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dro Heol y Seren, Nant-y-deri, Sir Fynwy, Sir Fynwy 2025.  

6. Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984  

MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (STAR ROAD, NANT-Y-DERRY, MONMOUTHSHIRE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2025

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Has made an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1. The Order came into operation on the 2nd July 2025 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 2nd July 2025, operating between 09:30 – 15:30.  

2. The order was necessary for BT works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

3. The effect of the order was to temporarily close a section of Star Road, Nant-Y-Derry, Monmouthshire, from its junction with Chain Bridge Road to its junction with Pen-Y-Wern Road.  

4. A signed diversionary route was in place as follows:- Nant-Y-Derry Road, Church Road, Newtown Road, Star Road and vice versa.  

5. This order may be cited as the Star Road, Nant-Y-Derry, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025  

6. By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
