What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL: ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH COLNEY HEATH 23

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Colney Heath 23, heading south and east from the junction with Roestock Lane, for an approximate distance of 165m.

Alternative Route: via Roestock Lane, Hall Gardens, Admirals Close and Footpath 44

The purpose of the Order is to enable construction works to take place.

The section of Footpath Colney Heath 23 will be closed on or after 14 July 2025 for up to 5 weeks, when signs are in place.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH RICKMANSWORTH 21

Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Rickmansworth 21, heading east from Kingdom Hall, for an approximate distance of 30m.

Alternative route: via Rickmansworth 21, Chiltern Drive and Shepherds Lane.

The purpose of the Order is to enable repair works to take place. The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 30 June 2025 for up to 6 months,

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Harpenden from its junction with Church Green Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 24m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Vaughan Road, A1081 High Street and High Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DROVERS WAY, ST ALBANS) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Drovers Way, St Albans from its junction with Adelaide Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 94m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Drovers Way, A4147 Catherine Street, Etna Road, Worley Road, Stapeley Road, Upton Avenue, Russell Avenue and Drovers Way or via Drovers Way, Russell Avenue, Britton Avenue, Selby Avenue, Upton Avenue, Stapeley Road, Worley Road, Edmunds Gardens, A4147 Catherine Street and Drovers Way.

The Order is needed because a crane is required to be positioned on the highway to enable works to be undertaken in the area.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BEAUMONT AVENUE AND CLARENCE ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

  1. that length of Beaumont Avenue, St Albans from its junction with Farm Road north westwards to its junction with Sandpit Lane, a distance of approximately 437m. An alternative route will be via Beaumont Avenue, Beechwood Avenue and Sandpit Lane.

  2. that length of Clarence Road, St Albans from its junction with Brampton Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Sandpit Lane, a distance of approximately 439m.

    An alternative route will be via Brampton Road, Woodstock Road North and Sandpit Lane.

    The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SCHOOL LANE, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of School Lane, Bricket Wood from its junction with Mount Pleasant Lane northwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Bricket Wood inside Bridleway No.064, a distance of approximately

1966m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being executed. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE NORTH WEST SIDE OF A405 NORTH ORBITAL ROAD, CHISWELL GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the north west side of A405 North Orbital Road, Chiswell Green from its junction with Driftwood Avenue north eastwards to its junction with Tippendell Lane, a distance of approximately 325m (“the Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Driftwood Avenue, the footway situated on the east side of B4630 Watford Road, the footway situated on the south side of Farringford Close, the footway situated on the east and north sides of Tennyson Road, the footway situated on the south and east sides of Sunnydell and the footway situated on the south side of Tippendell Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Alexandra Road, St Albans from its junction with Inkerman Road south westwards to its junction with B6424 Alma Road, a distance of approximately 160m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Inkerman Road, Bedford Road and B6424 Alma Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order is to be made and shall come into force on 30 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DROVERS WAY, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Drovers Way, St Albans from its junction with Adelaide Street south westwards to its junction with Russell Avenue, a distance of approximately 234m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Drovers Way, A4147 Catherine Street, A1081 (St Peters Street/Chequer Street), A5183 (High Street/Verulam Road, Britton Way, Selby Avenue, Upton Avenue and Russell Avenue or via Russell Avenue, Britton Avenue, A5183 (Verulam Road/High Street), A1081 (Chequer Street/St Peters Street), A4147 Catherine Street and Drovers Way.

The Order is needed because maintenance of an existing transformer is proposed to be executed near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, ST ALBANS) (20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new speed limit restrictions on parts of St Albans as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Friday 26 September 2025. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be viewed from 26 June 2025 to 7 August 2025 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting St Albans and looking at ref: SA01725
