Wiltshire -- Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance and Utility Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C283 (Part), South Newton; from its junction with A36 to its junction with Mount Pleasant to enable Wessex Internet to carry out lay approximately 145m duct and build chambers for Wessex Internet. Alternative route via C283 (unaffected length) – A360 – A303 – B3083 – A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and the closure will be required until 01 August 2025. B) C311 (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its junction with C310 to its junction with Watery Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun and associated works. Alternative route via C311 (unaffected length) – C62 – C310 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 21 July 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 5 days. C) Unnamed Road (Part), Idmiston; from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 400m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to provide safe access to DSLam. Alternative route via Idmiston Road (unaffected length) – Winterbourne Road – Tidworth Road – Church Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Sunbelt on 0800 282 609.

D) Amesbury Road (Part), Newton Tony; from its junction with Beechfield for a distance of approximately 148m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out complete a full relining of the sewers in order to reduce infiltration and sewerage overflows. Alternative route via A338 – Wyndham Lane – Newton Toney Road – Station Road – Newton Toney – Beechfield and vice versa. E) Cholderton Road (Part), Newton Tony; from its junction with Amesbury Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out complete a full relining of the sewers in order to reduce infiltration and sewerage overflows. Alternative route via A338 – Amesbury Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 02 July 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
