What is happening?

PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (LAIRA BRIDGE ROAD/EXETER STREET/TAVISTOCK ROAD) (FOOTBRIDGE))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit the movement of pedestrians in:

1. To prohibit the movement of pedestrians in:

Laira Bridge Road footbridge - no access from/to Laira Bridge

Exeter Street footbridge - for its entirety

Tavistock Road footbridge (Manadon) - for its entirety

The prohibition of pedestrians will be in operation on the days and during the hours that the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on 16th July 2025

It is anticipated that the footbridge works will commence on 16th July 2025 until 8th August 2025 24hrs
