Neachells Lane, Wolverhampton Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(NEACHELLS LANE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OFTRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted bythe Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
* Neachells Lane closed in both directions from its junction with High Street to its junction with Alfred Squire Road/March End Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Lichfield Road, Lakefield Road, Wednesfield Way and vice versa.
* Alfred Squire Road closed in both directions at its junction with Neachells Lane.
* March End Road closed in both directions at its junction with Neachells Lane. Vehicular Diversion Route: Rookery Street, Wolverhampton Road, New Cross Avenue, Wednesfield Way and vice versa.
It is anticipated that the above restrictions will operate between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00, from 8 July 2025 until 18 July 2025.
* Neachells Lane closed in both directions from its junction with Wednesfield Way to its junction with Planetary Road.
*Planetary Road closed in both directions at its junction with Neachells Lane. Vehicular
Diversion Route: Wednesfield Way, Deans Road, Willenhall Road and vice versa.
It is anticipated that the above restrictions will operate between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00, from 14 July 2025 until 25 July 2025.
* Neachells Lane closed in both directions from its junction with Planetary Road to side of Travis Perkins. Vehicular Diversion Route: Wednesfield Way, Deans Road, Willenhall Road and vice versa.
It is anticipated that the above restrictions will operate between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00, from 16 July 2025 until 30 July 2025.
* Neachells Lane closed in both directions from its junction with Wednesfield Way to its junctions with Alfred Squire Road/March End Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Lichfield Road, Lakefield Road, Wednesfield Way and vice versa.
It is anticipated that the above restrictions will operate between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00
from 1 August 2025 until 13 August 2025.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on the dates detailed above, at the times stipulated.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
