What is happening?

SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL(ST JOHNS AVENUE AREA, HEBBURN – NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2025

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to revoke No Waiting Mon-Sat 6am to 6pm on Derby Crescent north east side from its junction with Victoria Rd West for 5m in a south easterly direction and on St Johns Ave both sides from its junction with Victoria Rd West for 3.5m in a south easterly direction; No Waiting
At Any Time on Clennell Ave both sides from its junction with West Parade in a north eastwards direction for 10m; Derby Crescent west side from its junction with Victoria Rd West to its junction with Back Victoria Rd West and West Parade both sides from its junction with Clennell Ave in a north westwards direction for 10m and in a south eastwards direction for 10m. The order will introduce No Waiting At Any Time on West Parade north side (i) from its junction with Victoria Rd West in an easterly direction for 45m (ii) from a point 5m west of its junction with Clennell Ave to a point 5m east of its junction with Clennell Ave (iii) from a point 5m west of its junction with Derby Crescent to a point 5m east of its junction with Derby Crescent (iv) from its junction with St Johns Ave in a westerly direction for 10m and south side (i) from its junction with Victoria Rd West in an easterly direction for 15m (ii) from its junction with St Johns Ave in a westerly direction for 35m; St Johns Avenue both sides from a point 5m north of its junction with Canning St to a point 5m south of its junction with Canning St, south-west side from its junction with Victoria Rd West in a south easterly direction for 15m, west side (i) from a point 82m north of its junction with West Parade in a northerly then north westerly direction for 36m (ii) from a point 8m north of its junction with West Parade in a southerly then easterly direction for 90m, east side (i) from a point 72m north of its junction with West Parade in a northerly then north westerly direction for 50m (ii) from a point 20m north of its junction with West Parade in a southerly direction for 60m (iii) from a point 52m south of its junction with West Parade in a southerly then easterly direction for 20m; A185 Victoria Road West south-east side (i) from a point 10m south of its junction with West Parade to a point 10m north of its junction with West Parade (ii) from a point 5m south of its junction with St Johns Ave to a point 8m north of its junction with St Johns Ave (iii) from a point 5m south of its junction with Clennell Ave to a point 5m north of its junction with Clennell Ave (iv) from a point 3m south of its junction with Derby
Crescent to a point 6m north of its junction with Derby Crescent; Clennell Avenue both sides from its junction with West Parade in a north eastwards direction for 5m, east side from its junction with Victoria Rd West in a southerly direction for 10m and west side from its junction with Victoria Rd West in a southerly direction for 4m; Derby Crescent both sides from its junction with West Parade in a northerly direction for 5m, east side from its junction with Victoria Rd West in a southerly direction for 5m and west side from its junction with Victoria Rd West in a southerly direction for 2m; Canning Street both sides from a point 5m east of its junction with St Johns Avenue to a point 5m west of its junction with St Johns Avenue. Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at the Town Hall at the address below.
