THE FIFE COUNCIL (CERES HIGHLAND

GAMES) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Fife Council has made an Order under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, prohibiting the use by through traffic of the roads detailed in Schedule 1; and prohibiting the waiting of vehicles on the roads detailed in Schedule 2.

The Order is to allow Ceres Highland Games to take place in safety and to ensure the free flow of traffic through the village and will be operational on 28/06/25 as detailed in the Schedules. Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained. Any queries regarding this Notice should be directed to Traffic Management, Roads & Transportation Service, Bankhead Central, Bankhead Park, Glenrothes, Fife KY7 6GH or by e-mail to traffic.management@fife.gov.uk.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 07:00  UNTIL 18:30 ON 28/06/25

B939 St. Andrews Rd (from High St to A916 Craigrothie). Vehicular access to event parking will be maintained.

South Croftdyke (from B939 St. Andrews Rd to Woodburn Rd).

Teasses Rd (from South Croftdyke to C60 Woodside Rd). Residential access will be maintained.

High St (from B939 St. Andrews Rd to Castlegate). Residential access will be maintained.

Woodburn Rd (from South Croftdyke to its termination). Residential access will be maintained.

Alternative Route - B939 to Pitscottie, B940, B941, C60, C59, A916, A914 to Cupar and B940.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING 07:00 UNTIL 18:30 ON 28/06/25

Main St/Bridgend (both sides - from B939 

St. Andrews Rd to Wemysshall Rd);

Wemysshall Rd (both sides - from Bridgend westerly for 20m);

B939 Craigrothie to Ceres Rd (both sides - from A916 Craigrothie to Newbigging of Ceres access road east of Ceres).
