VARIATION OF BUSINESS AND RETAILERS’ PERMIT

PARKING CHARGES NOTICE (NO. 18A) 2025

The City of Edinburgh Council in exercise of their powers under Section 46a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, by Act of Council of 20 February 2025 have varied the parking charges set out in;

a) S chedule 6, and applying to pay & display, permit and shared use parking places in the roads within the zones listed below, as depicted on the relevant map and payable in terms of, Part 5 of the City of Edinburgh Council (Traffic Regulation; Restrictions on Waiting, Loading and Unloading, Stopping and Parking Places) Designation and Traffic Regulation Order 2025. The effect of the variation will be to amend the charges set out in Schedule 6 in the pay & display, permit and shared use parking places depicted on the relevant map, or

b) S chedule 10, and payable in terms of, Part 5 of the Corporation of Edinburgh (Traffic Regulation; Restrictions on Waiting, Loading and Unloading and Parking Places) Traffic Regulation Order 1973. The effect of the variation will be to amend the charges set out in said Schedule 10 in the parking places referred to in Schedules 4, 5 and 6, as follows-

In the Parking Places provided in the Roads listed below, i t he business permit charge (permit 1), for the use of the permit and shared use parking places, will increase from £370.00/ year to £453.70/year. The refund rate will increase from £29.60/whole month to £36.30/whole month remaining on the permit.

ii   t he business permit charge (permit 2), for the use of the permit and shared use parking places, will increase from £410.00/year to £502.30/ year. The refund rate will increase from £32.80/whole month to £40.18/whole month remaining on the permit.

iii  t he retailers’ permit charge (permit 1), for the use of the permit and shared use parking places, will increase from £370.00/year to £453.70/year. The refund rate will increase from £29.60/whole month to £36.30/whole month remaining on the permit.

iv  t he retailers’ permit charge (permit 2), for the use of the permit and shared use parking places, will increase from £410.00/year to £502.30/year. The refund rate will increase from £32.80/whole month to £40.18/whole month remaining on the permit.
