Church Street - Temporary Closure For Gas Connection Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Church Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Church Street - from the junction with West Street, north-westwards for a total distance of 65 metres.

This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out gas connection works.

The Order becomes effective on 10th July 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 14th July 2025 and last until 18th July 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.
