Public Footpath FP1304236 - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP1304236, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily any pedestrian from proceeding over the Public Footpath
indicated below:-
Public Footpath FP1304236, Colne, Pendle from Point A (SD 9018 3985) in a north easterly direction for approximately 420 metres to Point B (SD 9040 4011), continue across the bridge in a west, north westerly direction for approximately 20 metres to Point C (SD 9039 4010), continue in a north easterly direction for approximately 28 metres to Point D (SD 9041 4013).
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 23rd day of June 2025, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.

The plan on site shows the routes to be closed as A – B – C – D. Lancashire County Council is informed that an alternative route is available.
