U9518 Footway from Druridge Drive to Beadnell Road - Temporary Footway Closure

What is happening?

TO BEADNELL ROAD OUTSIDE OF NUMBER 15, BLYTH
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U9518 footway from Druridge Drive to Beadnell Road outside of Number 15, Blyth, from a point at the front of 31 Druridge Drive heading northwards for a distance of 12 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 18th July 2025 until the 11th September 2025.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 18th July 2025 until the 7th August 2025 and that the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 11th September 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Druridge Drive, U9518 footway from Druridge Drive to Beadnell Road outside Number 9, U9518 Footway Outside Numbers 9 to 15 Beadnell Road and vice-versa.
Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
