(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) (Temporary Suspension of One Way Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- 

a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, when the signs are covered the one way traffic working, to any vehicle proceeding in the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice between the dates and times specified in column 2 and 3 of the said Schedule, to facilitate the diversion route. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon microasphalt works. 

The order became operative from 30 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. 

It is anticipated that the works at each location will be carried out between the dates specified in column 2 of Schedule 1. See Schedule 3 for alternative routes.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Sherbourne Avenue which extends from a point 30m south of The Coppice southwards for 80m. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with manhole cover replacement works. The order became operative from 30 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration, between 8am and 4pm. 

No alternative route available: Access to be maintained.

(Various Roads, Various Wards - Resurfacing) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- 

a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, when signs are covered the South Gloucestershire Council (Church Road, Cranleigh Court Road and Station Road, Yate) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles of Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) Order 2009 in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice to facilitate the alternative routes for heavy vehicles. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon road resurfacing works.

The order became operative from 30 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 week duration, between 7pm and 6am. See Schedule 3 for alternative routes.

(Tabernacle Road, Hanham) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Tabernacle Road which extends from High Street north eastwards for 60m. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new water connection works on or adjacent to the highway. 

The order became operative from 2 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. 

Alternative route: Tabernacle Road, Footshill Road, Forest Road, Lower Hanham Road, Chapel Road, High Street.

(The Stream and Old Gloucester Road, Hambrook) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) (Temporary Suspension of One Way Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- 

a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, when the signs are covered, the one way traffic working, to any vehicle proceeding in the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice, to facilitate the diversion route. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with cabling works. 

The order became operative from 2 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. For alternative route see Schedule 3.

Schedule 1 The Stream - that length which extends from Bristol Road westwards for 200m;

(Burton Road, Acton Turville) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Burton Road which extends from Tormarton Road north westwards for 50m and south eastwards for 50m. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works.

The order became operative from 2 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 nights duration, between 8pm and 6am. 

Alternative route: B4039 (part unaffected), A420, A46, B4040, B4039 (part unaffected) and vice versa.

(Gibbs Lane, Dodington and Sodbury Lane, Codrington) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. 

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon filming work on or adjacent to the highway. 

The order became operative from 3 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 nights duration, between 6pm and 6am. 

Schedule Gibbs Lane - its entire length; Sodbury Lane - its entire length. 

Alternative route: Dodington Lane, B4465 and vice versa.

(A4174 Filton Road, Coldharbour Lane and Filton Road, Stoke Gifford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. 

This order is required for the following reason: traffic management installation and removal works in connection with the Active Travel CRSTS. 

The order will be operative from 19 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to take place in two stages: from 19/07/2025 to 21/07/2025 And 30/08/2025 to 01/09/2025

Schedule 1. A4174 Filton Road westbound carriageway, Stoke Gifford - that length which extends from the M32 J1 roundabout to Coldharbour Lane; 2. Coldharbour Lane southbound carriageway, Stoke Gifford - that length which extends from A4171 Filton Road Filton Road; 3. Alternative routes: 1. A4174 eastbound, B4058, B4427, B4057, A38, A4174 (part unaffected); 2. A4174 eastbound, B4058, Stoke Lane, Coldharbour Lane (part unaffected); 3. Filton Road (part unaffected) and then join diversion.

(Cock Road, Kingswood) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Cock Road which extends from Hollyguest Road north eastwards for 100m. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon gas main upgrade works on or adjacent to the highway. 

The order will be operative from 21 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration.

Alternative route: Westons Way, Courtney Road, Court Road, Mount Hill Road and vice versa.

(Trench Lane, Almondsbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Trench Lane which extends from Woodlands Lane eastwards for 275m.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge repair works on or adjacent to the highway. 

The order will be operative from 21 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 11 weeks duration.

Alternative route: Northbound: Old Gloucester Road, B4057, A38, Bradley Stoke Way, Bowsland Way. Southbound: Bowsland Way, Bradley Stoke Way, B4057, Old Gloucester Road.

(B4058 Wotton Road, Charfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of B4058 Wotton Road which extends from Little Bristol Lane to Station Road. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with Charfield Station construction works. 

The order will be operative from 21 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 11 days duration, between 8pm and 6am. 

Alternative route: B4058 (part unaffected), B4062, B4060, B4509.

(Badminton Road, Hawkesbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Badminton Road which extends from Stroud Road to Park Road. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with frame and cover replacement works. 

The order will be operative from 23 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. 

Alternative route: Stroud Road, Clay Pitch, B4040, Sodbury Road and Station Road.

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 to this notice. 

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Reclamite Programme works. 

The order will be operative from 21 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that the works at each location will be carried out between the hours specified in column 2 on the dates specified in column 3 of the said Schedule. In the event that an appeal is made against the decision of the Council to refuse to grant planning permission for the proposed development, and that appeal then proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations procedure, any representations made to the council about this application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.
