Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

EUROPA WAY, MYTON ROAD, PRINCES DRIVE,

OLD WARWICK ROAD & PARK DRIVE, LEAMINGTON SPA AND MYTON ROAD, WARWICK

Order Effect: Roads closed to vehicular traffic as follows: Europa Way closed from Queensway roundabout to Myton Road roundabout, Myton Road, Leamington Spa roundabout closed, Myton Road, Warwick closed from Myton Road roundabout to Myton Crofts, Old Warwick Road, Leamington Spa closed from Myton Road roundabout to west entrance to Morrison car park, Princes Drive closed from Myton Road roundabout to Park Drive and Park Drive closed Westbound, traffic able to flow Eastbound.

Reason for Order: To enable works associated with WCC3 scheme, overnight only 2000-0600hrs.

Order Commences: 30 June 2025 for up to 18 months

Anticipated Completion: 15 August 2025

Access & Diversion: Diversion routes will be appropriately signed.

GLASSHOUSE LANE, KENILWORTH

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from property number 59 to Canterbury Close.

Reason for Order: To enable works for a new water connection, weekends only.

Order Commences: 28 June 2025 for up to 18 months

Anticipated Completion: 6 July 2025

Access & Diversion: Glasshouse Lane, Dencer Drive, Leyes Lane, Park Hill, Windy Arbour and vice versa.

CASTLE LANE AND CASTLE STREET, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic

Reason for Order: To access underground structure for desilting work.

Order Commences: 1 July 2025 for up to 18 months

Anticipated Completion: 1 July 2025

Access & Diversion: Castle Hill, Jury Street, High Street, Back Lane.

The one-way traffic flow on Castle Lane will be temporarily suspended.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH FROM WEST STREET TO TOW PATH, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Footpath closed to all traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works to replace the existing hoarding with brick built retaining wall and new temporary hoarding in preparation for the new railings.

Order Commences: 1 July 2025 for up to 6 months

Anticipated Completion: 29 July 2025

Access & Diversion: Will be appropriately signed.

UFTON FIELDS, UFTON

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between St Michaels Close and Broad Close.

Reason for Order: To enable works to remove patches and relay road surface.

Order Commences: 1 July 2025 for up to 18 months

Anticipated Completion: 2 July 2025

Access & Diversion: Ufton Fields, Ufton Hill, Southam Road, Ufton Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY W180A IN THE PARISH OF BEAUSALE, HASELEY, HONILEY & WROXALL

Order Effect: Bridleway closed to all traffic at Grid Reference SP25550-70181.

Reason for Order: To avoid the likelihood of danger to the public because of the dangerous condition of the culvert along its route.

Order Commences: 3 July 2025 for up to 6 months

Access & Diversion: There is no available diversion route.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

THE BUTTS, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works to lay new ducting in the carriageway.

Order Commences: 12 July 2025 for up to 18 months

Anticipated Completion: 13 July 2025

Access & Diversion: Jury Street, High Street, West Street, Stratford Road, A46 Warwick Bypass, Sherbourne Hill, Birmingham Road, Saltisford, Northgate and vice versa.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH & CYCLEWAY FROM MYTON ROAD TO WESTLEA ROAD, WARWICK

Order Effect: Footpath and cycleway closed to all traffic from Saumur Way to Europa Way

Reason for Order: To enable works to install new electricity network ducting.

Order Commences: 14 July 2025 for up to 6 months

Anticipated Completion: 1 September 2025

Access & Diversion: Diversion will be appropriately signed.

PUBLIC FOOTPATH & CYCLEWAY FROM EUROPA WAY TO WESTLEA ROAD, WARWICK/LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Footpath and cycleway closed to all traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works to install new electricity network ducting.

Order Commences: 14 July 2025 for up to 6 months

Anticipated Completion: 25 July 2025

Access & Diversion: Cycleway from Europa Way Bridge to Queensway, Queensway, Cycleway from Myton Road to Westlea Road and vice versa.

HAMPTON ROAD, BUDBROOKE

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works to install a new water hydrant and renew a sluice valve.

Order Commences: 15 July 2025 for up to 18 months

Anticipated Completion: 17 July 2025

Access & Diversion: Hampton Road, Old School Lane and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 0330 008 0820.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL  

(DISTRICT OF WARWICK) (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA)

(WAITING RESTRICTIONS, ON STREET PARKING PLACES AND RESIDENTS’ PARKING) (CONSOLIDATION) (VARIATION S) ORDER 2025

Warwickshire County Council have made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to vary the existing District of Warwick (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On Street Parking Places and Residents’ Parking) Consolidation Order 2017, as briefly described (by approximate measurements) in the Schedule below. The Order commences on 30 th June  2025. Exceptions to any waiting restrictions described in the Schedule below will permit waiting for the purposes of picking up and setting down passengers, loading and unloading goods, for vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge and in connection with the maintenance of the road and the supply of gas, water or electricity.

A copy of the Order, together with a copy of the Order to be varied, plans showing the lengths of road affected and statements of the Council’s reasons for making the Order are available to view at the Main Reception at Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, and online on the Council’s website at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20210/warwickdistrict 

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that is not within the power conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Proposed No Waiting At Any Time

A452 Europa Way

Northbound

From a point 40.5m south west of the north east facing property No 1 Carter Meadow, then in a generally north east direction to a point 6.5m south west of the gully located on the nearside kerb of the A452 traffic island exit, northbound.

A distance of 186 metres.

Southbound

From a point 14m north of the north west facing flank wall that is retail outlet one, north of Queensway then in generally southern direction to a point 40.5m south west of the north east facing property No 1 Carter Meadow. A distance of 225  metres.

Queensway

Both sides

From a point in line with the north west facing flank wall that is retail outlet one, north of Queensway then, then in generally southern east, then easterly direction to a point 6m west of the pedestrian steps down to the same outlet. A distance of 48 metres.

Tachbrook Park Drive

Northern side

From a point 5.5m south east of being in line with the south east elevation of the retail outlet two, south of Queensway then in a generally north west direction to the zig zags, a distance of 65 metres.

Southern side

From a point being in line with the south east elevation of the retail outlet two, south of Queensway, then in a generally north west direction to the zig zags, a distance of 72 metres.

(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS, ON STREET PARKING PLACES & RESIDENTS’ PARKING) (CONSOLIDATION) (VARIATION NO. 13) (PART) ORDER 2025

Warwickshire County Council has made the above-named Order in part, pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to vary the existing Warwickshire County Council (District of Warwick) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On Street Parking Places & Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (as varied) as described in Schedule 1 below. The proposals which have not been made are described in Schedule 2 below. The Order commences on 30 June 2025.

A copy of the Order, together with a copy of the Order to be varied, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, are available to view at Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, and online on the Council’s website at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20210/warwick-district.
