What is happening?

The East Sussex (C18 Rectory Hill, Brightling)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Rectory Hill – from the junction with C280 Cackle Street to the junction with C281 Hollingrove Hill.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C280 Cackle Street – C281 Hollingrove Lane, Hollingrove Hill and vice versa.
The Order commences 11 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 and 14 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C93 Telham Lane, Telham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A2100 Hastings Road, Battle Road, Beauport Park roundabout, The Ridge West – A2690 Queensway – B2092 Queensway – C93 Crowhurst Road, Sandrock Hill, Crowhurst Road, Forewood Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 11 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 09:00hrs to 15:00hrs between 11 and 14 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C93 Forewood Lane, Crowhurst)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C93 Forewood Lane, Crowhurst Road, Sandrock Hill, Crowhurst Road – B2092 Queensway – A2690 Queensway – A2100 The Ridge West, Beauport Park roundabout, Hastings Road – C93 Telham Lane, Forewood Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 11 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 11 and 14 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Chowns Hill – from the junction with C639 Ivyhouse Lane to the junction with B2093 The Ridge.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C639 Ivyhouse Lane – C638 Rock Lane – U3246 Red Lake Terrace – A259 Rye Road – B2093 Old London Road, The Ridge and vice versa.
The Order commenced 31 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 30 June and 2 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Brede Lane – from the junction with U6627 Reservoir Lane to the junction with U6902 Frymans Lane.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C21 Brede Lane – B2244 The Street, Sandrock Hill, Hawkhurst Road, Compasses – B2165 Cripps Corner Road – B2089 Catts Green, Whorne Woods, Tank Hill, Chitcombe Road – A28 Cackle Street – C21 Brede Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 3 July 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 3 and 4 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 30 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 30 June and 1 July 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
