TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HERTFORD 33

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hertford 33, heading east toward junction with Hertford 99, for an approximate distance of 100m.

Alternative Route: via path to the south

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilites works to take place.

The section of Footpath Hertford 33 will be closed on or after 17 July 2025 for up to 8 days, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.95 AND NO.96 HALLEYS RIDGE, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.95 and No.96 Halleys Ridge, Hertford from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.96 Halleys Ridge north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Footpath”).

An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.92-106 Halleys Ridge, the footpath situated on the east side of No.103 Halleys Ridge and the footpath situated on the north side of Nos.92-106 Halleys Ridge.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 July 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WOODLAND ROAD, HERTFORD HEATH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Woodland Road, Hertford Heath from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.9 Woodland Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 35m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Woodland Road, Church Hill, B1197 London Road and Woodland Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 July 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1004 WARE ROAD, WARESIDE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1004 Ware Road, Wareside from its junction with C41 (unnamed road) north eastwards, northwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 301m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B1004 (Ware Road/Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (Bridge Foot/Viaduct Road/London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), B181 (Station Road/High Street/ Roydon Road), B180 (Hunsdon Road/ Stanstead Road/High Street/Widford Road/Hunsdon Road) and B1004 Ware Road.

The Order is needed because utility and tree cutting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Oudle Lane/Church Lane, Much Hadham from its junction with B1004 High Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 104m.

An alternative route will be via B1004 High Street and Church Lane.

2. that length of Malting Lane, Much Hadham from its junction with B1004 Tower Hill south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Oudle Lane, a distance of approximately 373m.

An alternative route will be via B1004 (Tower Hill/High Street) and Oudle Lane.

3. that length of B1004 (Tower Hill/High Street), Much Hadham from its junction with B1004 Widford Road north eastwards to its junction with B1004 Winding Hill, a distance of approximately 1306m.

An alternative route will be via B1004 (Widford Road/Medcalf Hill/High Street/Ware Road/ Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (High Street/Baldock Street/Wadesmill Road), A10 Wadesmill Bypass, A120 (Standon Hill/Kents Lane/Stortford Road/Standon Road/Little Hadham Bypass/Hadham Road), A1184 Bishops Park Way and B1004 (Great Hadham Road/Winding Hill/ High Street) or via B1004 (High Street/Winding Hill/Great Hadham Road), A1184 Bishops Park Way, A120 (Hadham Road/Little Hadham Bypass/Standon Road/ Stortford Road/Kents Lane/ Standon Hill), A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road), A1170 (Wadesmill Road/Baldock Street/High Street) and B1004 (Star Street/Widbury Hill/Ware Road/High Street/Medcalf Hill/Widford Road).

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of A121 Monarchs Way, Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Winston Churchill Road/B176 High Street roundabout south eastwards to its junction with the A1010 Monarchs Way/A121 Eleanor Cross Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 465m.

An alternative route will be via A121 Winston Churchill Way, A10 (unnamed road/Great Cambridge Road), A1055 Bullsmoor Lane and A1010 (Hertford Road/High Street).

2. the A1010 Monarchs Way/A121 Eleanor Cross Road roundabout, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Monarchs Way clockwise for its entire length.

An alternative route will be via A121 (Monarchs Way/Winston Churchill Way), A10 (unnamed road/Great Cambridge Road), A1055 Bullsmoor Lane and A1010 (Hertford Road/High Street) or via A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road/Meridian Way/Sewardstone Way), A110 (Lea Valley Road/Nags Head Road/Southbury Road), A10 Great Cambridge Road, A1055 Bullsmoor Lane and A1010 (Hertford Road/ High Street).

3. that length of A1010 Monarchs Way, Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Monarchs Way/A121 Eleanor Cross Road roundabout south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the A1010 High Street roundabout, a distance of approximately 441m.

An alternative route will be via A121 (Monarchs Way/Winston Churchill Way), A10 (unnamed road/Great Cambridge Road), A1055 Bullsmoor Lane and A1010 (Hertford Road/High Street) or via A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road/Meridian Way/Sewardstone Way), A110 (Lea Valley Road/Nags Head Road/Southbury Road), A10 Great Cambridge Road, A1055 Bullsmoor Lane and A1010 (Hertford Road/ High Street).

4. that length of A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road), Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Monarchs Way/A1010 Monarchs Way roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 1222m.

An alternative route will be via A121 (Monarchs Way/Winston Churchill Way), A10 (unnamed road/Great Cambridge Road), A110 (Southbury Road/Nags Head Road/Lea Valley Road) and A121 Sewardstone Road/Meridian Way/ Station Road).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN BRAMFIELD ROAD, DATCHWORTH/BULLS GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bramfield Road, Datchworth/Bulls Green from its junction with Watton Road south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Burnham Green Road, a distance of approximately 1015m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Watton Road, Datchworth Green, Mardleybury Road, B197 (London Road/Mardley Hill/Great North Road), A1000 (Welwyn Bypass Road/Hertford Road), Hertford Road, Harmer Green Lane, New Road, Harmer Green Lane and Burnham Green Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Priory Street, Ware from its junction with Ware Town Public Footpath No.015 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Priory Street, Harriss Lane, Priory Road, B1001 Watton Road, A1170 (Baldock Street/High Street), the A1170 Bridge Foot roundabout, A1170 (High Street/Baldock Street) and Priory Street.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”):-

1. the footpath situated between Nos.39 and 47 Birdie Way, Hertford from its junction with Birdie Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 131m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the footpath situated on the north side of Nos.57-61 Birdie Way, Hertford from its junction with Birdie Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 33m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. the footpath situated between Nos.64-66 Birdie Way, Hertford from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.66 Birdie Way south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Eagle Court, a distance of approximately 138m.

An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the north east side of Nos.19-1 Birdie Way, the footpath situated on the north west side of Nos.89-83 Birdie Way, the footway situated on the north east side of Links Avenue, the footway situated on the south east side of Hamels Drive and the footway situated on the north east side of Eagle Court.

4. the footpath situated on the west side of Nos.101-107 Birdie Way, Hertford from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.107 Birdie Way south eastwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. the footpath situated between No.19 Links Avenue and No.70 Birdie Way, Hertford from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.70 Birdie Way south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 100m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6. the footpath situated between No.38 and No.40 Links Avenue, Hertford from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.38 Links Avenue south eastwards for a distance of approximately 27m.

7. the footpath situated on the south east side of Nos.2-10 Links Avenue, Hertford from its junction with Links Avenue south westwards for a distance of approximately 34m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

8. the footpath situated on the north west side of Nos.36-40 Links Avenue, Hertford from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.40 Links Avenue south westwards, north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 85m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

9. the footpath situated between No.36 Links Avenue and No.7 Eagle Court, Hertford from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.36 Links Avenue south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 41m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

10. the footpath situated on the north east side of No.112 Hamels Drive, Hertford from its junction with Hamels Drive south eastwards for a distance of approximately 62m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

14. the footpath situated on the west side of Nos.2-14 The Knoll, Hertford from its junction with the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.1-9 The Knoll north westwards for a distance of approximately 49m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

15. the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.13-29 Birdie Way, Hertford from its junction with the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.1-9 The Knoll north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 52m.

1. that length of Frogmore Hill, Watton At Stone from a point 213m north west of its junction with 3U9 (unnamed road) south eastwards for a distance of approximately 533m.

An alternative route will be via Frogmore Hill, Astonbury Lane, Aston Lane, Stringers Lane, Benington Road, Walkern Road, High Street, A602 Hooks Cross and Frogmore Hill.

2. that length of 3U9 (unnamed road), Aston from its junction with Frogmore Hill north eastwards to its junction with Walkern Road, a distance of approximately 312m.

An alternative route will be via Frogmore Hill, Astonbury Lane, Aston Lane, Stringers Lane, Benington Road and Walkern Road or via Frogmore Hill, A602 Hooks Cross, High Street and Walkern Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak from a point in line with the northern boundary of ‘Little Hennons’ southwards for a distance of approximately 122m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Crouch Lane, Rags Lane, St James Road, Newgatestreet Road and Crouch Lane.

The Order is needed because water main installation and reinstatement works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TAMWORTH ROAD, HERTFORD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (NO.2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new waiting restrictions on Tamworth Road, Hertford as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 18 August 2025. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

SCHEDULE: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Parts of Tamworth Road.

The making of Traffic Regulation Orders is a statutory function of the County Council. Any personal data you provide in responding to these Notices will be treated as confidential but will be shared with HCC Officers; County Councillors and contracted third parties who are involved in the statutory process.
