TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

(EVENTS, BARKING AND DAGENHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF INTENT

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to safely facilitate events and parades, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  2. The Order will come into effect for each event or parade as named in Column 2 of Schedule 3 to this Notice on the dates and times given in Column 3 of that Schedule.
  3. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to re-enact the closure as and when the works are required.
  4. When the named events specified in Schedule 3 are taking place and advanced warning signs are being displayed the Order will for each event named in Column 2:
    • of Schedule 1 temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic in roads specified in Column 3 of that Schedule;
    • of Schedule 2 temporarily prohibit waiting and loading on footway and carriageway on those roads or parts of road specified in Column 3 of that Schedule.

  5. The provisions of this Order will not prevent access being maintained for emergency services or for vehicles which are being used in connection with the event, to any other premises accessible from, and only from, those roads or parts of roads.

Road Closure on Clockhouse Avenue from a point 84.7 metres north-east of its junction with Broadway to its north-eastern extent. Road Closure except for access on Clockhouse Avenue from its junction with Broadway for a distance for 84.7 metres in a north-easterly direction.

Mayors Civic Parade

Rolling closure westbound on Longbridge Road from its junction with Upney Lane, except for right turn access from South Park Drive. Longbridge Road from its junction with Aldersay Gardens to its junction with Station Parade, with junctions closed at Salisbury Avenue, Fanshawe Avenue, Cecil Avenue, and Wilmington Gardens. Eastbound on Gudwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)) from its junction with Queens Road to the roundabout at its junction with Longbridge Road.

Eastbound via Gudwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)), Abbey Road, St. Pauls Road, Ripple Road and Upney Lane. Westbound via Upney Lane, Ripple Road, St. Pauls Road, Abbey Road, Gudwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)), Queens Road, Church Road and Tanner Street.

Nagar Kirtan – Gudwara

Rolling closure on North Street from its junction with George Street to its junction with Gudwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)), except for right turn access from Whiting Avenue and left turn from George Street. Gudwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)) northbound traffic only from the lighted layby junction with North Street. Gudwara Way (Northern Relief Road (A124)) from its junction with North Street to its junction with Longbridge Road roundabout. Fanshawe Avenue from its junction with Longbridge Road roundabout to its junction with Ilford Lane. Longbridge Road from its junction with Fanshawe Avenue to its junction with Victoria Road.

Rolling closure along Grafton Road from the southern property boundary of No. 110 Grafton Road to its junction with Becontree Avenue. Becontree Avenue from its junction with Grafton Road to the southern boundary of No. 539 Becontree Avenue.

Remembrance Parade – Dagenham Parish Church

Rolling closure along Rectory Road from the northern property boundary of No. 30 Rectory Road to its junction with Church Elm Lane. Church Elm Lane from its junction with Rectory Road to the east side of Dagenham Parish Church. School Street from its junction with Church Elm Lane to Dagenham Parish Church.
