THE A50 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR FINDERN,
DERBYSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A50 Trunk Road, near Findern, in the County of Derbyshire, to enable work to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close –
(1) the westbound carriageway of the A50 from its junction with the slip road leading to its roundabout junction with the A38 slip roads and the B5008 (Toyota Roundabout), near Findern, to its junction with the slip road leading from that roundabout junction; and
(2) the layby adjacent to the westbound carriageway of the A50, approximately 57 metres east of the centrepoint of Toyota Roundabout.
The work is expected to start on Monday 21 July 2025 and continue for approximately fifteen weeks. The carriageway closures will be in operation on weeknights only between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours. The layby will be closed 24 hours a day for the duration of the work.
The Order will come into force on 14 July 2025. Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
A diversion route via Toyota Roundabout will be signed.
