What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(CARR LANE/BRIESTFIELD ROAD, BRIESTFIELD, DEWSBURY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Carr Lane/ Briestfield Road from a point approximately outside Carr Farm/New Farm, Carr Lane to approximately 200 metres North East of the junction with Back Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Briestfield Road, Back Lane, Pearson’s Lane, Fixby Lane, Falhouse Lane, Whitley Road, Low Road, Edge Road, Judy Haigh Lane, Carr Lane and vice versa.    

It is intended that the closure will commence on Friday 18 July 2025 and remain in force until 22 July 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CHIDSWELL LANE, SHAW CROSS, DEWSBURY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 5) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Chidswell Lane, Shaw Cross, from its junction near Brambling Avenue for approximately 177 metres South PROVIDED THAT  such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Chidswell Lane, Windsor Road, Owl Lane, Leeds Road, Pickering Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 30 June 2025 and remain in force until 2 July 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(VARIOUS ROADS - DEWSBURY/ CLECKHEATON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Dewsbury/Cleckheaton on a rolling programme as follows:

Fir Avenue, Dewsbury - full length

Fir Parade, Dewsbury - full length

Fir Walk, Dewsbury - full length

Grasmere Road, Wyke, Bradford - full length Langdale Avenue, Wyke, Bradford - full length Kentmere Avenue, Wyke, Bradford - full length

Thirlmere Avenue, Wyke, Bradford - full length

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed locally as and when required.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Saturday 12 July 2025 on a rolling programme of works and remain in force until 3 August 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WESTFIELD LANE, SCHOLES, CLECKHEATON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Westfield Lane, Scholes, Cleckheaton, from its junction with Whitehall Road North bound for approximately 65 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Westfield Lane, Town Gate, Griffe Road, Whitehall Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 14 July 2025 and remain in force until 21 September 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
