West Approach Road, Edinburgh - Temporary Road Restriction
What is happening?

(RUSSELL ROAD WEST APPROACH ROAD BRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25 / 86
The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate bridge refurbishment works, no person shall drive or cause or permit any vehicle to be driven on West Approach Rd:
(i) at Roseburn St (extended east kerbline); and
(ii) at the westbound on-slip access road on West Approach Rd, leading to Westfield Rd.
The alternative routes for vehicles are: (i) West Approach Rd (eastbound) – Westfield Rd, Stevenson Rd, Balgreen Rd, Gorgie Rd, Henderson Ter, Dundee St and West Approach Rd; and (ii) West Approach Rd (westbound) – Henderson Ter, Gorgie Rd, Balgreen Rd, Stevenson Rd, Westfield Rd.
The order shall have effect from 3/7/25 to 11/7/25.
